I have a folder called Pilar's folder within student central and I have use it to communicate with all my students this academic year 2008/2009 outside the class.

I created a separate folder for each class and in each one there is another folder called 'deberes' which students visit each week to check what work is set up for them to do, important information (exam dates, deadlines for projects...), links to see or listen to.

The experience has been very positive as a whole. Initially took a while for the students to get used to visiting my folder but gradually it's has become the norm among most of them.
