- do: Post and click on your link to check whether it works correctly
Including your own media
In C@B, you first need to Upload any files you wish to include, then use the Add File button to locate your file and include it within your Post.
To include a photo or other image:
Stage 1: Upload
- go to Your Photos (Sidebar)
- click on Post a photo (Links bar below heading)
- Browse your computer to find the image you wish to upload
- optional: give the image a Title, decide on Access restrictions, add some appropriate Keywords (see notes on Tagging below)
- check the box to confirm your right to use the image
- Upload
Stage 2: Include
- in your Post body, click where you want to place the image
- click the Add File button (below Post Title)
- in the left-hand panel of the File selection window, click on _photostream_ (or wherever you Uploaded your image)
- in the right-hand panel, click on your image's filename or title
- the image itself will not appear in your Text box, but there should be a short line of code to represent it, such as: {{file:5502}}
- if you wish to continue writing below the image, click at the end of the code, and do Return on the keyboard
Stage 3: Link
- you can turn the image into a link: in the Post body box, you will need to Select the image code (including brackets)
- follow the procedure outlined above for inserting links (Copy URL > Select image code > Insert/Edit link > Paste URL > Insert)
Embedding external media
